Yes, I already dropped the ball. I missed day one! I had every intention of going big on December 1st for the Blog Challenge but things came up. My son Jaxson has been having fevers the last two nights, and to top it off I had the worst headache all day yesterday. Needless to say, it just wasn’t in the cards for me. I’m not going to let that stop me from completing my first December blog goal!
Alright, here we go!

Day 1: Share your blogging goals for December.
Wittes World 31 Day Blog Challenge for December:
I would like to complete the 31 Day Blog Challenge for December. I had promised to do the #BlogTober blogging challenge and didn’t even post one thing. I am not doing that this time, I am going to post everyday. What I hope to gain by doing this is to keep working on my writing skills. I’ve never been confident in my writing skills, hence why I was hesitant on starting a blog in the first place.
Be more active on my Pinterest account:
I just recently migrated over to WordPress from Blogger and most of my previous posts circulating on Pinterest come from Blogger. I know that my traffic will be really rough due to the change but I hope by keeping up with Pinterest I will grow traffic to my new page.
Continue to work on my Social Media accounts:
My current stats are:
Goals for Social media:
Come up with more content for my #SpecialNeeds niche.
I am coming up with ideas for posts with my Special Needs niche. I originally began blogging about my son Jaxson and his journey with Dyrk1a Syndrome. I started to incorporate my Military Spouse life and my love for Health & Fitness. I am thinking of maybe doing a Q & A with his Occupational Therapist about Sensory Processing Disorders.
Day 2: Share something that you have accomplished this year that you didn’t think you could.
Starting my blog.
I am proud of a couple things this year. First, getting over my fear of writing and started a blog on June 2018. As most of you know Jaxson was diagnosed with Failure to Thrive, Laryngomalacia, and Dyrk1a Syndrome. We had many hardships and questions, and I felt that documenting our life on a public blog could help someone.. days, months, and even years down the road. I was hesitant because growing up I felt that my writing wasn’t interesting or my grammar was terrible.
Second, going back to school.
I have a Bachelor’s in Health Administration but I decided to go back to school around the same time I began my journey with blogging, to pursue Medical Billing and Coding. I wanted to be able to do something I can do from home, a remote job. Medical Billing and Coding came to mind because I was always interested in the insurance and coding aspect of health care when I worked for a Chiropractic Office.
It has been tough juggling stay-at-home mom life, blogging, and being a full-time student but somehow I managed to keep a 4.0 GPA. I am extremely proud of that.
For those who want to participate with the 31 Day Blog Challenge you can read more about it at Witte’s World.
