For Day 12 I am asked to write about my idea of a perfect winter day.
The last six years I’ve been in the south so snow was very scarce. I’ve had warm Christmases in South Florida and cold winters in the Panhandle but never snow.
My Perfect Winter Day…
I’ve always dreamed about a cold, white Christmas. Sounds cliche I know but when you’ve grown up in Okinawa and spent most of your adult life in the South, you don’t get that very much.
I did live in Europe for a few years when I was in elementary school and I absolutely loved it. I especially loved the Black Forest during the cold winter months!
So as you can see, my ideal of a perfect winter day includes:
Lots of snow!
We just recently moved to North Carolina so I’m hoping I get that wish this year. They did get hit with a lot of snow last year so we shall see. I would love to have both of our boys experience such a beautiful Christmas!
I’ve always wanted to wake up Christmas morning with them and my husband, stare out the window and see all of the fresh snow, open our presents, and go out and enjoy it!
