Hey there. I can’t believe I am working on my third post this week, it’s been a little hectic with school resuming, and our day to day routines. I’m not sure if I mentioned it but I have signed up for a FREE Transphormation Challenge through 1st Phorm. You have a chance to win $50k or $10k! I could pay off my student debt with that! I’ve been in a little funk anyway and needed something to motivate me.
I put on about 10 lbs since October 2017, and I’m kicking myself in the butt for it. We had many things happen last year between James being away for almost a year, Jaxson’s diagnosis, and PCSing. A lot has happened.
BUT, I need to start taking care of myself. I’ve been preaching that over and over in my previous posts. I need to be the healthiest ME to care for our family. So, that prompted me to make a change in both my eating and I am aiming for five days of CrossFit workouts a week. I’m not really active throughout the day like I use to be so I have to get my workouts somewhere else.

IIFYM or “If It Fits My Macros”
I’ve done this on and off for years and I dropped almost all of my pregnancy weight in October 2017. However, the holidays came through and I guess it just hasn’t stopped… a year later, LOL. So, I am back at it again!
I was given FREE macros for joining the My Transphormation Challenge: 1650-1700 calories per day, 140g Protein, 45g Fat, and 170g Carbs. So far I am doing awesome, I’m down 3 lbs, I’m leaning out, and I’m not bingeing. I am glad to say that I was able to eat just ONE oreo yesterday and not an entire sleeve. #Progress
I’ve dabbled in pretty much everything: body building, power lifting, CrossFit and Olympic Lifting. Currently I am in love with CrossFit and Olympic Lifting and I am contemplated on signing up for the Open. CrossFit is one of the most supportive communities I’ve been in, it’s amazing! I think that’s one of the reasons I am drawn to it and I just love the Olympic Lifts in it as well.
Since moving to North Carolina I have slacked in the working out department. I was maybe getting 3 to 4 workouts a week and sometimes they weren’t the greatest. I’m currently aiming for 5 days of CrossFit and I seriously need to start doing Yoga on a daily basis. I’m getting old and tight, and the benefits of Yoga on stress is substantial.

My Goals for the next 8 weeks:
I pledge 5 days of CrossFit and 5 days of Yoga.
Continue to monitor my food intake via MyFitnessPal and aim for 1600-1700 daily.
Get off the couch:
I pledge to be more active throughout the day, and walk the neighborhood. I’m going to aim for 10k steps a day again!
I haven’t been drinking enough water lately so my goal is to drink 64 oz a day or more.
I’ve been staying up to blog or study, I need to start going to bed earlier. Lack of sleep can hinder my weight-loss and energy for workouts.
