About Jennie

Hello there! My name is Jennie and I am a Marine Spouse with two rambunctious boys named James (5) and Jaxson (2). I am also a fur-momma to two huge cats, Voltron and Oreo! I have been married to the love of my life, James, for almost 10 years!

I was born on a little island called Okinawa, Japan, and that is where I grew up on and off for 19 years of my life. My dad was in the Air Force therefore we moved around a bit (took us to Germany and New York), but Okinawa, Japan will forever be my home. I met my husband during a night out in Okinawa, and my life forever changed.

Now fast forward to 2018, we are currently residing in our very first home in Holly Ridge, North Carolina. I am a Stay-at-home mom to Jaxson while his older brother goes to Kindergarten. Our youngest son Jaxson was diagnosed with a Rare Genetic Disorder called Dyrk1a Syndrome on April 2018.

After his recent diagnosis I decided to go back to school for Medical Billing and Coding. I wanted to be able to work remotely as a Medical Biller and Coder and take care of our special needs son. I also have a Bachelors in Health Administration, I hope a combination of that, my experience at a Chiropractic office, and my recent degree at Ultimate Medical Academy will land me my dream job.

When I am not going to school full-time and shuffling our youngest to therapies and specialty doctors, I am catching up on Investigation Discovery, doing CrossFit in my garage, Blogging, and Advocating for Jaxson.
